Sedgley & Brown

Sedgley & Brown is the name of the collaborative partnership between Alec Sedgley and Thomas Jack Brown. Formed during the national lockdown November 2020, the pair have worked together on a number of projects. Each bringing their individual artistic talents their combined works tend to take the form of catalogues of conceptual and completed mixed-media works. The collaboration often focuses on video installations as well as painted canvases and other fine art works.

DY8B61 is a mixed media installation created by fixing Super8 film across a canvas, that was then covered with fluid paints and spun at high speed using a converted pottery wheel. Once dry the film was removed, restored and digitised, with the final film being projected back onto the original canvas. The digital film can be seen in full on YouTube.
